It’s been a week since my last post, and I’ve really missed your lovely feedback and comments! It’s been a very busy summer, but I’m really enjoying the weather and the company. Even though I haven’t posted a new look recently, I’ve stocked my closet with looks to come! Stay tuned for some of my favorite new trends. For today, Visar and I went shopping at our local mall, so I went with a chic look that’s also edgy. Many of my recent looks have been all black pieces, my favorite, because it never goes out of style and can be worn all year around. Continue reading to see today’s pictures.
I love finding new brands I can order online that offer quality pieces for a good price. I was browsing sites similar to Tobi.com, which is where I purchase a lot of my clothes. I came across VanityRow.com and immediately fell in love because I’m a sucker for good websites. I found this dress under the “new” tab, and I was so excited because it’s only $32! I was hesitant at first because I thought it wouldn’t be manufactured well (sometimes cheap brands will have bad hemlines, thin fabric, and poor fits). When it was delivered and I tried it on, I LOVED it. I will definitely be shopping this brand more often.
This is a summer of bright prints. As I was browsing around online, I came across Bacci Couture Collection which offers colorful patterns and dresses. Right away I fell in love with this tunic that features an oversized flower motif. Shades of blue are really popular for this coming fall season, so this dress is perfect for adding a bit of color without being too much.
If there’s one color palette you can always count on to be in style, it’s neutrals. Creams, nudes, and ivories match with pretty much anything and go with any skin tone and hair color. I’ve been trying to branch out this summer and wear bright colors and patterns, but my favorite looks will always focus on neutrals. For many of you, the weather is already starting to turn a bit cooler as fall approaches. I decided to do a look that is perfect for this awkward transition between warm and cool. Enjoy!
Happy Saturday everyone! I’m having such a good weekend so far. Yesterday, Visar and I went furniture shopping and found a new sectional couch for our living room. I love updating my townhome to make it more and more beautiful. Last night we went bowling with some good friends and had a few drinks—so much fun! While I was out and about during the day, I was wearing this white playsuit with a plunging lace v-neck. It’s so flowy and comfortable for a hot day, and I love the fact that it has a short bottom rather than a skirt bottom. So what’s the difference between a playsuit and romper? They’re basically the same, but playsuits usually have very loose fitting short bottoms to make it look more like a dress.
I was scrolling down my Facebook feed and saw Steffie’s post that read “First day back in the Netherlands and spent ALL my money from working in England on a massive shopping spree”. I thought this was the perfect time to ask her to do a post! I met Steffie while we were both studying in England. We made so many good memories while we were there, and I’m so happy to keep in touch with her. Steffie has this beautiful model-like figure and would always look party-ready on the weekends. I’m so excited she’s decided to share her fashion with all of you. Enjoy!
I decided to step out of my comfort zone for this look. I usually don’t wear bold prints and especially not in bold colors, but I’m obsessed with blue accents right now. If you follow my blog regularly, you know I’m also obsessed with rompers this summer. This is a very comfortable outfit because it’s a light polyester with an A frame that fits loosly under the waist. I was actually disappointed when I first received this romper in the mail because the print placement varies per item. I loved the placement on the model, but my print was offset. I added a picture below of the model, so you can compare the different prints.
It’s been a couple days since I’ve posted a look for you (even though I post daily looks on my Instagram). I was in DC all weekend visiting Visar’s sister and brother-in-law, but I also did a little shopping. There are still a ton of sales because designers are saying goodbye to the spring/summer trends and hello to fall trends. August is always an awkward transition for fashion because it’s still very hot outside (in Virginia at least) yet all the stores are coming out with their warmer, autumn looks. Check out my pictures to see how I incorporated both summer and fall trends into one look.
It’s almost the weekend! I can’t wait because Visar and I are heading to DC to visit his sister and brother-in-law. Today we’re going to see some friends that we haven’t been able to spend time with lately because of traveling—one couple moved into a new townhome and the other has a new puppy! I wanted to wear something comfortable because we’ll be sitting down and having some wine, so I went with this look that is simple and summery. Continue reading to view all the photos.
One of my favorite skirt looks for this summer has been the asymmetrical shape. Whether it’s a high-low skirt (worn here), a color block (worn here), or today’s look, I’ve been so in love with the uniqueness these skirts add to my outfits. As I’ve said before, my “go-to” look is always all black, which is what I went with today. I love how black can make a look super edgy and a little sexy. This look is completely opposite from yesterday’s all-white look (here), but fashion is about mixing it up while still representing your individual style. Enjoy!
